Only one day in the Big Island, Hawaii.

Hi. First of all sorry about my bad english, I´m from Brazil.
I will take a package to go to Hawaii, but I will have only one day in Big Iisland. My priority is see the lava flow, but I would like to much to see the Mauna Kea observatory (Telescope). How can I do this? Is it possible in one day only?
