How can I control the sorting order, or order in which pictures are displayed, in my pubkic gallery?
They're sorted first by the date on which they were taken, then by order uploaded (newest first). There's unfortunately nothing much in the way of controlling that.
You could fiddle with the dates perhaps, if you don't care about those being accurate, or reupload everything in the specific order you want? Yeah, I know... not a good solution. When the sytem was set up originally, I guess we didn't really envision people uploading enough photos to care about the way they were organized (other than grouping specific sets of photos by tags or country).
