Hi!
i'm planning to travel mexico city, cancun and central america sometime late jul to aug. was wondering if anyone has similar plans? it'll be great to travel with someone.. Places in central america - guatemala, belize, costa rica and panama...
any travel advice and tips would be appreciated as well
Be careful. Though it has been going on for years, especially the last few months Mexico has been plagued with gang wars with drug cartels fighting and while they exact grisly revenge on each other, innocents have been killed in the cross fire.

I'm not heading out on an adventure, but I do live in Cancun. I assume you are looking to see more than the touristy stuff when you get here. I can tell you some really good food joints to check out or if you want to meet up, me and my wife can show you around.

Are you staying in a Hostel or in a hotel? If you are in a hostel downtown take the ADO bus at the airport (cheapest way.. like $5 one-way).
