I have to come up with an article on a destination. I would like to do something about a place on the east coast between SC and Virginia. Any ideas?

The article is for a travel magazine I write for. I ma not so familiar with the east coast so I am trying to get some ideas.
I am thinking of doing Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Have any of you been there?
