Thailand and Asia in general is heading towards the rainy season where when it rains it can be very, very wet.
Best time to go is November to April when every day can be hot and sunny, unlike back home.
If you don't do so beforehand, Khao San Road in Bangkok is packed with like minded people you could hook up with.
Mate don't worry about the weather. Ive been to Thailand quite a few times, including for 3 months last year and will be in S.E Asia again for 6 months from June.
You will get a heavy downpour for an hour a day. Its nothing to be concerned with and actually is welcomed a lot of the time as it freshens everything up

I see it's mentioned above that it will downpour for an hour a day? it will get flooded when it downpour its only for 1 hr a day or it rain offen?
I know last year it was flooded in Thailand in the rainy reason, so wanna check before I travel. Can some one advise whether it good to travel during the rainy reason to thailand.

Even though there was some extra flooding last year tourists were still showing up by the millions. They just avoided the seriously flooded areas and went elsewhere. Even during the hot season and wet season at least a 500,000 tourists show up each month.

Many tourists prefer to visit during the rainy season because the hotels are cheaper. Some cities are better than other cities during the wet season. But most of the time the sun comes out after a few hours. Rain in Thailand is nothing like you get in London.
I totally agree with karazyal on the above post - last year's flooding was exceptional - plus - the rain here isn't like monsoon rains that go on for days without stopping - Bangkok especially doesn't flood that often - and even if so, only in small patches of areas for 30-40 minutes.
I go there very often and don't have any problems - also - i try to keep my self up to date with what's going on there - try looking through thai travel websites - as well as facebook fanpages.
I currently follow this one that is very active and has giveaways as well - it's by my favorite thai beer - "chang beer" - they have a fanpage in facebook and many people post cool places to travel to in thailand so it's pretty useful.

I saw Thai weather on the CNN news this morning. They had 5.5 inches of rain yesterday and the guy said maybe the same tomorrow and maybe the same the day after.
There was also some strong winds as in trees blown down onto houses and roofs blown off.
I had a cousin go there in July several years ago and she had rain every day, much of the day, for 10 days.
Then again, weather is unpredictable so who knows?
well i got to thailand last year bout a month after the floods pretty much alrite in most parts obviously different a month before, just travel to the areas that are not effected, easy enough to travel round!! Also pretty much the 3 days of new year (this year) it pretty much rained non stop, pretty crazy, couple roads have given way in that period, but no major concern!!
my time there was from november to march in that time the weather was pretty much perfect!!
MY maine advice for any one going thailand be weary of the travel shops when they arrange accommodation, because met quite a few people and to myself had been let down, caused me alot of stress and extra money!!! do it all your self buses/trains/accommodation etc!! just have to book the excursions, and always haggle!!! AND definately stay away from a fat welsh prick called steve who works in sun sea travel cos he is a wrongun!!!

the first 3 days of new year i meant,but that was in koh pangang and ko samui!!
