Love visiting, hate traveling

What are some of the best and most unique ways to get through the traveling? Are there people who actually enjoy the traveling part of traveling? I just know I get exhausted and have problems finding a good sleep rhythm which can eat up the first couple days of a journey. Any help from you experienced travelers out there? Like with traveling to another country is it better to split up the flights into a couple days instead of flying straight if you can? Such as flying to a place, getting a hotel for the night, then flying again the next day?

Personally I think it is a matter of experience. When I first started travelling I could never really fall asleep on the plane, bus or train. When I first few to Asia it took me around 3 days to get used the time difference. But now after quite a few years of travel experience, I can fall asleep almost everywhere. When I have to deal with other time zones I either go to bed at the same time as the locals or if my flight lands early in the morning just get some sleep the night after.
The body is really resilient and adaptes to a lot of situations.

Actually, lots of times the travelling part is the most fun part! Well, apart from flying that is. That's not travelling, that's moving yourself in a box from point a to point b. But travelling by bus, car, train or bike or even on foot is great! A few examples: I am actually taking the train on a next European trip, even though flying would be cheaper. And I love to walk around a city instead of visiting museums only.
But after flying, it really is best to stay in a city or area for a while and avoid flying again the next day for sure! If you have limited time, just try and visit a limited area and don't move around from city to city in a way that Americans visit Europe: 15 cities in 10 days...

When i was traveling to far place of my town, I can't sleep all the time during the trip also. But right now, I must sleep on the trip so when I arrive to some place, I won't feel exhausted and sleepy

Well, you seem to be asking primarily a question about avoiding jet-lag when traveling.

There have been studies done on this, and one of them is summarized here:

http://www.antijetlagdiet.com/docs/mmarticle.pdf

The key to the diet is to do what is shown at the top of page 452 on that page.

When about to travel across multiple time zones (generally 4 or more), start a special diet four days before departing. On Days 1 and Days 3, feast (that is, eat high-protein meals for breakfast and lunch, and eat a high-carbohydrate (pasta) dinner), and on Days 2 and 4, fast (eat fruit and vegetables for breakfast and lunch and eat vegetable soup for dinner) (limit calories on fast days to 800 calories). Eat all these meals at normal times.

On the day you depart for your destination, what you do depends upon whether flying east or west. Presume you tre flying east from Toronto to Germany. In this case, if your flight leaves at 7 PM (for example), the time in Germany is already 6 hours later (1 AM). Set your clock to this time, and plan to wake up at the equivalent of 7:30 AM Germany time (1:30 AM) Toronto time. It may help to take coffee about 2 to 3 hours after getting on the plane to help you either stay awake, or else, after sleeping, to wake up early. Once awake, start a feast (hi-protein) diet for this day, walk the plane, work on your computer, watch an in-flight movie or do anything that helps you adapt to the new Germany time. After arriving in Germany, go to sleep one hour earlier than you usually would (maybe 8 or 9 PM german time) and the next day you should have no jet lag.

If traveling west, do something similar except the following: Drink coffee in the morning in Germany before boarding the plane same as you always do, then no caffeine once on the plane. If the flight is leaving at 9 AM (for example), it is still 3 AM in Toronto, so sleep for 4 1/2 hours until it is the equivalent of 7:30 AM in Toronto, then get up (it would be 1:30 in the afternoon in Germany when you wake up), and stay up until arriving in Toronto. Eat a feast menu (hi-protein) and go to bed one hour early, preventing jet lag flying west.

Wow thanks guys such great advice! I like the idea of saving up a little more money and paying the extra to take the train and what not. Plus I've always traveled alone so maybe I need to start bringing friends!
