a long time away, but due to savings and making sure you do it right, i have decided to head to oz Jan 2013, anyone else out there with the same ideas? im thinking sydney, then travel, then possibly job....all alone so all the help needed
I was thinking same thing.but as i got wht i nearly need i was gonna go earlier.but i was gonna save as much as i cn then go.was gonna go thailand too befor as some places r cheap!!!

Im 18 and have decided to travel instead of Uni, so I think im going to casually live in Australia for a year!
Im looking at heading to sydney at around March/April time 2013 for the year, and will probably start with the OZintro thing to get settled. Are you thinking of doing anything like ozintro or just going over and seeing what happens?

Things but it seems popular on here so I may look into it! I had the idea just to save then in October look into more options! Hopefully by then I'll have enough to know when I will be able to head over there...I'm hoping january time! So what are these oz intro things? Xx
Hi I'm going to Sydney the end of November, also on my own.
I'm 20 years old and sorted it all out myself. I dont think that you really need one of those ozintro things. If you book to stay in a hostel you will meet people through that anyway. Most hostels have job boards and information people to help nayway as most people staying are travellers.

I am also going to aus in Jan 2013 I’m going to Thailand for Christmas and New Year then going straight to Sydney from there. I don’t really have a plan as yet but I’m hoping to get a job somewhere when I get there, just not sure what area yet.
I am travelling alone as all my friends are tied up with job and things so it would be great if someone is in the same boat at the same time?

Hi Liz, i am Traveling in Thialand with a friend, but unfortunately I think she wants to go home for Christmas, I don’t haha… so little worried about that, but yes I would love to stay out then head to Aus to work a little
