What was the first trip that you can remember?

ossifyhart has indicated that this thread is about North America

My first time on a plane was flying from North Carolina to San Antonio for Baisc Training. THE LONGEST 2 MONTHS IN MY LIFE!!! Plus it was in the summer and Southern Texas in June is NO JOKE!!! Especially in a hot uniform ALL DAY LONG!

Wow that's incredible! What part of the military were you in? Are you still on active duty or anything?

I was in the Air Force. I got out in 08. I did deploy with the military as a contractor to Afghanistan for 13 months last year.

My first travel experience was in Spain with my family. Actually we drove to Spain almost every year. It always took us 2 days to go there by car and this is really a long time for kids. But to this day I have really fond memories of my first trip.

Ooty was my first trip with my family on Aug 2007.

When I was 4, we moved from Toronto to Victoria, British Columbia. For some reason, my parents decided we should take the train. I don't remember much of the trip, except going to the luggage car to visit our pet bird (a budgie). And playing 'Aggravation' (a board game) with some other kids who were on the train. That was way back in 1974.

My first trip that wasn't just camping was my parents, my older brother Tom and me going to the Smokey Mountains by car (in Tennessee, about 1,000 miles from Minnesota). I was about seven or eight, I think. We had a regular '70s sedan so my brother had the pleasure of my feet on his lap whenever I wanted to take a nap. I also remember drinking chocolate milk while riding and soon afterwards barfing into a potato chip bag. My dad wasn't really interested in stopping once we got going, lol. We stayed in motels along the way. While walking around the Smokey Mountains, my parents bought me a Native American feather headdress, jingle bell anklets and a rubber tomahawk and I wore them everywhere. Hey, I was a little kid
