I am arriving in Madrid in the first week of June, 2012. Was looking at the transport costs - by bus or train.
Have also been looking at the car-hire rates.
Have been planning Avila, Segovia & Salamanca in 3 days.
Need your suggestions on what to opt for - the train or the car; and the things to watch out for when hiring a car......
The transport costs for separate tours for Avila, Segovia & Salamance looks far more costly if I opt for Trains or buses.
hello,
I'v rent car from renault-eurodrive.com (Renault company) for 36 days , pickup Munich and drop off Lisbon ,, the cost is $1520 US Dollar. Its the cheapest in my recent research but the minimum rent is 21 days. if pickup location is the same of drop-off location I suggest autoeurope.com. it has really good price , but if you drop off the car in different location you should pay additional.
Lemme know if I can help you more bro
Its just 3-4 days for me.
My 'drop-off' location is different.
I have been trying out numerous sites. europcar.com is offering around 200 Euros for deliveing the car on 6th June'12 morning and returning the car at Cordoba on 9th June'12 evening.
My total distance comes to about 970 Km. How much would I be paying on Fuel/gas ?
I suggest you to check autoeurop.com too, but I estimate the fuel cost for 1000Km 120euros.
I would also like to know if 'parking' in Avila & Segovia would be a 'big' problem ? If I can park the car near the 'tourist' sites, then it would be still cheaper.
Would the price of Lunch be higher inside the city or in the highway ? or would it be the same ?
Can anyone suggest some good place for Lunch along the road from Segovia to Avila ?
Anything special - like sights & small villages that would be interesting while on the way to Salamanca ?
