Im planning to go next year saving as.much as.i.can app u.need.about.a 1000 a month.
Definitely don't plan. Or at least don't make solid plans that can't be changed. Think of it as going out on army maneuvers! Have a loose plan but be prepared to change at a moments notice.
It will be getting quite chilly in most of Australia by June, so consider hitting Sydney or Melbourne first then get north to areas like Darwin and northern Queensland which is the ideal climate at that time of year.

Anyway a couple of months expenses will depends on your spending behaviour and where about are you staying
(hostel $750 to $1200 month
, hotel $$$$
, shared accommodation same like hostel or less depends on location and furniture)
anyway fixed transport expense is about 6.5 AUD daily..

Hi alice, me and a friend arrive in cairns on the 4th of July. We are spending 4 weeks travelling to Sydney before stopping off in new York on our way home to the uk. We have a grey hound bus pass. If you are stuck and want to meet up with people let me know.
