Baltimore for one or two days in June - Suggestions please

Hi guys,

Baltimore can probably be done in a day. There are museums like the Maryland Science Museum and the National Aquarium, the Top of the World Observation can take you up a pentagon building and looks over the beautiful city, you can boat around the inner harbor.

In addition to the Inner Harbor, take a water ferry over to the Fells Point area and explore the bar and bay area there.

Actually, the nicest area to visit is up near the Hunts Valley area, but it you don't have a car, its too far to go. Up in this area are lots of open areas and horse farms (Baltimore used to hold lots of fox hunts with the horses and hounds) and occasionally one is still held up this way. (Nowadays the fox that is cornered is not harmed).

I used to live in this area and had a few red foxes living just down the street from my house and so had to be aware of where my dogs would try to wander off to all the time.

Avoid the "block"--a dive area set up to keep the porn stuff away from most citizens--and also stay away from the upper east side of downtown. Near the beach/harbor is always your best bet. P.S. If you want to walk from the Inner Harbor to Fells Point (about 20 blocks or so, you travels will take you through the Little Italy part of town--and there are lots of great italian restaurants in this upscale area). Enjoy

Be sure to try the Blue Crabs (provided there are some left)
