I'm looking to travel from Kenya to South Africa in the last half of 2013.
I was planning on doing a topdeck tour from Nairobi to Johannesburg.
However if I can find a travel buddy, would prefer to do a similar trek independently (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, South Africa: visiting all the major national parks and landmarks along the way).
I would also love to do some volunteer work, involving the community and wildlife (am currently doing a major in zoology and need some practical experience) along the way.
Thinking anywhere between 3 and 5 months, depending on the money situation and whatever comes along.

Uganda has got 10 game parks and reserves though there are 4 big one which are a must see like the bwindi, queen Elizabeth, Murchison and kidepo. The country has got some adventure which are a pass time for travellers and they are a must do like the white water rafting, bunjee jumping, Horse riding by the river Nile, Source of the Nile visit, Itanda falls , Sippi falls etc.

Adventures on the river Nile can never be miss like the source of the Nile visit, Itanda falls. Sippi falls, White water rafting . bunjee jumping, Quad biking, Horse riding etc.

In Kenya you can go to Masai Mara, Lake Baringo, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate National Park. These were my favorite places last winter when I was there last january.
