im Kirsten and im looking to travel to Sydney in Sept, i have my hol-working visa. Im open minded and would love a BIG adventure!! im open to all suggestion as im sick of my day to day living here: wake up - work - bed!!!!!!!! im looking for anyone with advice or would like to meet up when out there???

i am looking at booking sydney for new year as its getting booked up and mayb booking to do the ultimate oz for the 1st week to get settled in.

Hey : ) no i got my visa in march and havent bought my flights as i dont know to go out in sept or oct! My visa was £180 and i got it about 6 hours after i applied (it starts from the min you land in aus)
Well iv looked into a couple of hostels but dont really know where to stay! My pal is in perth but shes unsure where shes going to be so this is why if desided just to venture on my own (or meet with someone!)
No i only seen these ultimate oz on this ill need to look in to it tomoz. I like id like to see sydney wait until the new year then head up towards cairns : ) but tbh ill be in aus so i wont really care where i am!
Have you got any plans? Or seen any hostels?

Im looking to go to Sept/ October time to Syndey, and i am too travelling alone.
i have looked at all differernt ways to get work, but nothing setting stone untill i get out there. Planning on spending new year and xmas in sydney tho. Ive seen the ultimate oz and ive seen another one similar and im debating if to do one. do u know anyone who has done one before?
Also are u planning on working there the whole time ur in sydney then moving on? or working enough to earn money and then sight see for a week or so etc then more on?

hey yeah i was planning on staying in sydney until after new year and then head up towards cairns way. well i was looking into getting a job for the time in sydney and then heading upwards.
I was looking into ultimate oz which i think does seem a good thing as they pick you up from the airport and you can meet people in your package. im just a bit worried about going out and not having a clue when leaving the airport!!!! i dont know anyone thats been on it but iv just read stories for their facebook site, the people i know have went in pairs so they didnt need to do it.
Im now thinking of going at the start of Nov as some boys i know are back and they say its very expensive so i want to save as much as i can so i can have a good time and sight see then settle into a job (i am a bit of a workaholic so i want a nice break)

Yes i heard its expensive too so im thinking of going a few weeks later so going around 21st october now.
I was thinking the exact same, settle in 1st then get a job, then last week or so im in sydney to go and see everything else or party! haha!
Have a look at OZ intro too, that looks similar to ultimate oz, ive emailed them to send me info too.
If i could i wouldnt do the package thingys but im abit scared of getting totally lost or something before im even there haha.

hey am from belfast and am travelling to sydney from london on the 3rd of sept, was goin to do the oz intro but had a read up on a few of the hostels and the do iteniary where you can meet ppl etc so just goin do that! havent really much plans just take it as it comes lol x

I'm heading out to Sydney on late October, and don't know whether to do a package or just try and figure things out myself.
Alison, do you know any names of these hostels that are doing similar itineraries for tax file numbers, work etc?
So confused about what to do!
