Hiya! I am also in this situation!!! Had a friend who I am supposed to be meeting 31st when I fly into brisbane but she has now decided after 6 months to come home! Where do you begin and how long you planning to travel?
I got so scared I started googling and apparently there are loads of alone travellers so a think we probs be ok...... I HOPE!
Im 22 and cant remember the last time i was on a bus alone never mind other side of the world!!!!
Hey... I fly into Melbourne on the 25th September and then dont really have a plan other than to work my way up the east coast, I'm only in oz for 2 months at the moment. How long are you staying for etc?

Same here really! I only just looked at a map this week! Melbourne looks amazing! I don't have a plan but just aimed to travel up the coast ending like cairns/portdouglas ending there like November time. I plan to go to Fiji end of November and then fly back to Sydney for mid December Christmas etc.
I only have a 3 month visa.... So my flight home is 29th but like yourself that night change! Have you booked somewhere to stay for your first few nights? I haven't but I'm going to this week just for first night or two.
I'm from Newcastle... Game to make the most of it and enjoy the many drinks and nightclubs along the way!!!!

I wasn't going to go either but I thought I would be stupid not to. I also took a break from work etc and thought we'll if I hate it the first that can happen is ill come home..
Oh cool , your plan is identical to mine. That's where I want to end up also and I think my flight home is the 16th November. I only yesterday booked 6 nights accommodation in a hostel in Melbourne cos I really didn't want to arrive and have know where to stay. Are you still planning on flying into Brisbane? Have you booked anywhere ?

Ahhh totally if we didnt go we would regret it and my friend went travelling last year and she said there was more people on their own than in groups! I think we will def be fine!!!! But secretley I am shit scared haha!
Who are you flying with? Yeah just gonna fly to Brisbane as planned as its like £65 to even amend the booking without adding on any extra to fly anywhere else..... thats good that we have the same end point in mind and plan maybe we could meet up and travel up together.
I havent booked anywhere to stay either but thats a must this week or next just for like a few nights coz I land at quarter to 1 in the morning!!!

I'm terrified haha so would definitely be nice to meet you along the way. I've been to Sydney before so it's not somewhere I plan on spending a lot of time as wasnt my favourite. How long do you think you'll be in Brisbane?
