Europe Travel

It will be my first time to visit Europe. I am thinking of going for the Expat Explore travel tours but I am really torn which countries I should visit first. There are two tailored tours I am choosing from. One tour which lasts for 12 days will visit France, Spain, Italy and Vatican and the other tour will last for 10 days will go to Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, France,Germany and Belgium. I actually wants to go for the 10 day tour but I don't want to miss Spain and Rome. The start point of the 10 day tour is in Amsterdam and last point will be Paris. Question if I arrive earlier in Amsterdam, do you think I can visit Spain or Rome? What about if I'll be coming from Paris, will it be easier to go to Spain or Rome?

Hi wander woman.I visited all the countries you mentioned in your post, and i just want to tell you that Spain or Rome you should not miss.Trust me

It would be a lot easier to answer if you had told us the full schedule (what places will you visit in the countries etc), but here are my suggestions:
1. If you take the 12 day tour, you will have 3-4 days for each country. If you take the 10 day tour, you will have 1-2 days for each country. You will have to also include the time that goes for transport (going from one place to another) and you actually don't have that much time left. All those countries actually need more than 3-4 days to fully explore and get some kind of idea of them. 1-2 days is definitely too short. It would be just rushing from one place to another and in the end of the day, you actually see less. I think you should take your time and understand that unfortunately you can't see everything on this trip, so just focus on a few countries!
2. You can go from both Amsterdam and Paris to Spain and Rome by plane. Though, if you want to go by train, it would be easier to go from Paris.
In conclusion, I would suggest you to take the 12 days tour.

Hope it was helpful! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Have a nice trip!

thank you so much for the info. Im still undecided which tour to take but most probably will go for the 12 day tour.

this is a tough one ..... I agree leaving yourself as much time as possible to enjoy your destinations is probably the best bet, Rome is one of my favourite destinations & I would say you need at least a few days to take in all the city has to offer (would defiantly recommend a guided tour of the forum)

But ....... would also have to put in a massive endorsement for Switzerland, I have recently returned from a Europe trip visiting the grindwald region mainly & have to say its one of the most beautiful places I've ever been

so .......... history & culture VS beauty & tranquillity hard choice !! but in my opinion you cant beat the amazing mountains
hope you enjoy, im sure either will be great

Hello wanderwoman, I want to suggest you to choose one destination that you really want to travel and enjoy instead of trying above given countries in 10 or 12 days. 10 days is not enough to travel all places of the country and experience its culture and tradition. There is no meaning of traveling if you are unable to enjoy the culture and tradition of the country that you desire to visit.

Hello wonder woman, I want to say to you don't miss the chance to travel Spain or Rome.
Schedule your trip as, in which you give the time for Spain and Rome travel.
