Hey I'm Libby, recently turned 22 from the UK. Have been thinking about travelling to Australia on a working holiday visa for 12 months & finally reached the decision that's what I want to do. One slight worry in the front of my mind is going it alone I no many people do this however I'm new to all this travelling forum/blog was wondering if anybody was in the same position as me. I am looking into heading to Perth or Sydney late November/December of this year. Would be great to hear some views or if anybody has the same plans as myself
Hi Libby, my name's Sarah and i'm heading over to Sydney around the same time too i leave London on 28th November and arrive in Sydney the following day, and im travelling alone as well, which i was a little bit nervous about but it seems from this forum that loads of people are in the same boat have you got your flights booked yet or your visa sorted?

I'm travelling alone from the UK too, I land in Melbourne on 8th November, but am booked into Base in Sydney over Xmas and New Year.
I was exactly the same but as you read the forums, you realise so many people are doing it alone!!!

i'm Currently in Sydney and i came out here on my own. Let me tell you from experience it will be the best decision you have ever made. Your travelling is your own personal adventure, going it alone only makes it more special. You can do what you want when you want and not worry about keeping anyone else happy. You will meet some incredible people and experience things you would never do if you was with someone you'd known before hand.
As a side note i'm back in Sydney early Dec for Xmas and New Years, so would happily be your tour guide when you guys arrive. i've been a bit lucky to get shown some amazing places by some of the local guys i've been working with
Hi Adam thanks for your reply. Really helps knowing that other people are or have been in the same situation as myself. I do not no anybody in Sydney so chatting/meeting somebody who has experienced it would be fantastic.
