I have just returned from a 3 wk trip but planning my nxt one for around march! I am planning on spending 1.5 week in nepal/himalayas trekking and then few days in bangkok+phuket (krabi/ao nang).

What route are you planning in March?
I'm heading to Bangkok end of March for Songkran, then heading into Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, then heading down Thailand, down to the islands and then back to Bangkok at the end of June.

Hi..i did not realise it would be songkran but might be worth trying to be in bkk for then! I was in bkk for buddha day last week and they are not allowed to serve alcohol 2 days so nightlife was dead!
My route will simply be dehli+nepal for 8 nights, bangkok 2 nights then flying down to phuket and spending 3/4 days max on krabi/railey beach (flexible), before flying back to india to get my flight to the UK.
I just did chiang mai, koh samui, bangkok and cambodia (siem reap) all places worth visiting, from koh samui i would recommend staying on koh tao and koh pan nang instead.
