Hello!
Thailand could be an option, and I think on the whole the beaches there are nicer than Indonesia. It depends how far you want to go though, what time of year, how long for, and where you'll be starting from (I assume Portugal from looking at your profile). Can you provide some more info?
Thank you for the help. Of course I can.
I'm traveling from Portugal, the trip is somewhere between july and august, and I plan to stay 10 days.
Don't worry about the flight cost. I only want the place itself to be cheap
Indonesia might be a better option during that time as it's the dry season in most parts of the country. As you want somewhere peaceful though, I'd stick to Bali as Java is pretty hectic! I thought the beach at Lovina was nice, and the Gili islands are supposed to be stunning.
It's the rainy season in Thailand during that time but that doesn't necessarily stop you from going.
So you think between Thailand and Indonesia might be the best options?
When's the sunny season in Thailand?
Yes I think so; I was thinking parts of Africa might be options but as I haven't been I can't really advise. The best time to go to Thailand in terms of the weather is between November and March.

Thanks for the advice!
Do you have any recommendations regarding both places?
Like food, places to visit, some things to be careful about such as natural catastrophies, and such. I heard that some islands in Indonesia doesn't have the best health care, so I should be careful about diseases as well.
I think you might like , Vietnam (Danang Airport) - a small, peaceful fishing village turned into a very popular tourist destination - great food, shopping and history. A few islands nearby for touring, very nice beach, best restaurants in Vietnam and excellent hotels - VERY INEXPENSIVE/VERY FRIENDLY!
thanks for the advice!
I'll make some research about Hoi An!

The food in Thailand is amazing; in Indonesia less so in my opinion. In Bali I'd definitely recommend spending a few says in the town of Ubud - from there you could easily organise transport to the Gili Islands. Although I said that Java is hectic, I'd recommend Mt Bromo as it's a must see while in Indonesia, and is not too far from Bali. I did get sick in Indonesia - just be careful what you eat and never touch the water, or anything that could have been washed in it such as salads.
