University of Edinburgh student looking for a quick help!

Hi everyone!

Glad you got permission!

When you write "for UK members of Travellerspoint", does that mean you'd prefer if non-UK members don't answer?

Hi Sander,

So am I!!

I've been advised by my supervisor to focus on UK members only, just because of things like cultural differences that may add noise to the data.

So hopefully enough UK members are interested!!

Chris

noise meaning stuff like great dissert recipes from a colonial? http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/Desserts/

Just confirming that yes, I did give permission as this survey was particularly relevant to Travellerspoint.

Hi everyone, the survey is now open to all members of Travellerspoint (not just UK members). I would appreciate your responses so much!

Done. Hope you'll get some more responses now that you're not limiting it to just the UK.

FWIW, I found myself vaguely uncertain when answering the questions - had to check a couple of times that what's being asked is how "true" the statements made were with regard to travellerspoint, rather than (the more often seen) how important I would find them with regards to a hypothetical travel community.
It might be beneficial to replace "in an online travel community environment" with "about the travel community website which directed you here" (or similar) in the introductory text.

I also think it'd be good to put a big fat disclaimer above the demographic questions that none of the answers will be shared, nor used to target / segment the person answering in relation to unrelated services (i.e. advertising).

I would be interested in knowing how many responses you got & if you know which travel site they were referring to.

Hi Hasbeen, I can let you know the number of responses next week, and state roughly where the responses have came from! I'll keep you posted on my results as well!
Need 20 more responses so hopefully travellerspoint members can help me reach this target

Hi Sander, Thanks for your comments. I was told to put all 'disclaimer' type statements in a cover page! Also, questions are taken from previous literature as the aim is to replicate a model in a different context, so didn't tweak the questions used much! Thanks for completing the survey, your help has been immense!! I'm not sure if there's a way in which you could encourage other members to complete the survey... but if you could I would be extremely thankful

Thanks,
Chris

Is there a certain time you're hoping for responses by? I know it's a five minute survey but something that takes five minutes is always easy for people to put off.
