Hey. I am traveling to Asia solo in February 2013.
I am a yoga instructor so I would love to learn more about Buddhism, the culture, cooking, sunset beaches, etc.
Anyone traveling in Asia at this time?
Have advice on monasteries to stay at?
which country will you visit? if you want to learn buddhism, tibet of china would be a great place for travel. there are many beautiful spots with nice local people, buddhism is very really there.
but you really need prepare all the packages you need, better learn some chinese. good luck and cheers
Good that you are visiting the Asia tour i was also visit the Asia last year and my favorite country is Iran too much beauty in this country my all fellows enjoyed a lot in this country.....

If you can get a free VISA EXEMPTION depends on what passport you enter with, how long you will stay and if you have a round trip plane ticket or proof of onward travel.
Bangkok Post and The Nation newspapers have day to day information on the protests.
You can Google up Richard Barrow and follow his postings on the protests. Also get daily bulletins from the Thai Visa Expat Forum. You can check with your embassy, your state department (or foreign office) for latest warnings.
