Too late now, but you might have received a response if you has posted the 3 separate legs in full. How many people know instantly which airport SAN or MBJ is?
1.) Heathrow > Rio de Janeiro > Santiago > Buenos Aires > Lima > Bogota.
2.) Cancun > Miami > Jamaica > Miami > San Diago.
3.) Los Angeles > Tokyo > Sydney > Heathrow.
The price doesn't sound bad to me, but that second leg sucks. I would have dropped Miami/Jamaica and done Cancun/Havana instead.

That sounds rather expensive to me, though that might partially be due to the premium economy legs. How much is this same itinerary in pure economy?
The main reason it'll be expensive is that you're crossing the equator four times, adding many miles. And that while One World is the only alliance which does the South America - Oceania leg directly. If this routing isn't necessary for other reasons (I can imagine that certain parts of the world are best to visit at certain times of the year, and that you're thus purposefully doing these destinations in this order?), then consider reorganizing as something like (which, according to the great circle mapper, is 2,000 miles less than ). Now, if you remove SAN/LAX, CUN/MBJ or RIO/BUE from the routing and do them separately (assuming cheap separate tickets for them exist?), you can easily get under 34,000 miles (and possibly even under the 29,000), which - iirc - are the thresholds for a miles ticket under which the price drops quite a bit. (Note that the airlines count slightly more miles per leg than the great circle mapper does.)
The SCL-SYD leg can be done via AKL (New Zealand is totally worth a couple of weeks!), or even better, via Easter Island (IPC), Tahiti (PPT) and Auckland (AKL), effectively for free. (If you're doing a continent-based ticket, you'll need to buy extra stops for South America, but probably doable; or you could do LIM-SCL overland, and buy LIM-RIO-BUE-SCL on a separate ticket, or see about one of those LAN passes. (That might even be combinable with the RTW ticket, but there you head into territory where you really need an experienced travel agent.))

We have to change somewhere, as I don't think there are directs from Cancun to Havana. Plus, i have family in Miami and US/Havana flights aren't possible.

From memory it was bizarrely more expensive without the premium economy. Also I think the OneWorld RTW fares are calculated by segments instead of actual miles.

Cubana flies daily between Cancun and Havana but that's a moot point if you have to go to Miami anyway.

Some interesting trivia... there's actually there's more daily flights departing from Miami to Cuba than from any other departure point in the world, but they're only available to US citizens travelling under OFAC licence.

Interesting, I do love general knowledge. It's a shame that it's so restricted, but (unfortunately?) I'm British anyway.
We'd really like to do both Cuba & Jamaica, but don't think it's viable either economically or time-wise. Jamaica looks like the easier option at the moment.
I'll hopefully have some time to investigate again this weekend.
So long as you keep your wits about you Jamaica is a lovely holiday destination, but in my opinion Cuba blows it out of the water in terms of culture/music/etc. It's one of the most complicated/crazy countries in the western hemisphere - but it's changing fast.
