As someone who lived and worked in Taiwan for several years, I wanted to correct this and say that many Taiwanese would find that statement offensive. The travel guide is a wiki. That means any travellerspoint member can edit the text. So please go ahead and change that introduction text about to something you feel is both accurate (reflecting its disputed status) and more respectful. The current text has been in there since the beginning, and I doubt any of its previous editors have very strong feelings about it.
P.S. We don't allow promotional links - such as your signature - on the forum, which is the reason your post is currently flagged for attention by the responsible moderator for this forum. As soon as that moderator comes along and snips the link, your post will become visible again. And FWIW, if you perform a substantial enough edit to a wiki guide article, a link to your blog _can_ show up in the 'Contributors' section on that wiki page.
