So far mine is in Philippines, Manila. It was in Malate and called "Friendly Guesthouse". Lots of marble on the floor which was nice and cool on your feet. A huge balcony situated on the 7th floor (i think) looking out over the city with a glimps of the sea. It had plenty of seating ideal for the drinking games we played into the small hours and also pertfect to nurse your hangover on with breakfast made in its great big kitchen, perfect for making all your meals. The common area equiped with a comfy sofa and big screen with plenty of movies for lazy night in... i miss it....
The d*lux in Kings Cross, Sydney :-) Great nightlife and a huge BBQ area on the roof top! Also great is the Paradiso in Nelson, New Zealand! Loved it.
Mine is definitely 'Nuts Huts' in the Philippines, on Bohol!
Located in the jungle along the Loboc River, great huts, great food and lounge area with hammocks where you can linger with other tourists.
Its pretty remote, although it's only 45 minutes by bus to Tagbilaran, the capital where you can catch a movie or shop for some groceries.
In total I've stayed already five weeks in this place!
Hostels and The Philippines... Its like looking for an apple tree in Vietnam. I'm exaggerating. But I would next expect the Philippines to have the best hostel even in a list of 100 hostels.
Do they even call it hostels? Since when? Do they have YHA in the Philippines?
I guess too many have been to Thailand for so many times, and so The Philippines is becoming more interesting.
Well, I do hope that a real hostel culture will develope in the Philippines. There are just somethings that wont grow on Philippine soil, like English Language school that have branches everywhere in Asia. But I guess the hostel thing is possible.
The Umma Gumma in Guatemala
my best hostels in San Francisco California I can t sya only the one is my fav Mostly everyone very friendly ))
Hostel Mostel - Sofia.
Where else can you get a free lift from the airport to the hostel, a free bowl of freshly made pasta and beer on arrival, free internet pc's and breakfast included the following morning, all for about the same price of 2 pints of beer in London?

The philippines is cool. I like the Philippines cos its filipino... if you know wat I mean. I hope it dosen't turn into a whore capital of the world like Thailand. Mind you, Vietnam hasn't...
There was another amazing hostel in Palawan which was so laidback and chilled. Loved it...
