I'm thinking of going to Paris for the Ireland V France soccer match on November 18th. I'll be on a tight (no, make that miniscule) budget so does anyone have any ideas for a central and cheap place to stay.

Ryanair will get you there and back for under €60 return.
A good place to stay for the match is the Friend's Hostel. Think it's around €20 a night.
How cheap is all that?
Now all you've got to is get a 2nd mortgage for the match ticket.

I had a look at that Hostel and it works out at E18 each per night. Can't argue with that.
Try the near Bastille. If you don't mind on dorm sharing, price starts at €14 per person per night.

I was looking at the website and really pleased... until I saw that the age limit was 35years. B*****ds! Just ruined my day : ) thanks anyway.
Ah bummer. Sorry I forgot to mention that is a "youth" hostel, so they have an age cap.
How about the following options then?
1) couchsurfing
2) contact and see if he's ok with you crashing at his place
3) be at Shakespeare and Co.

You're welcome. I've heard of Jim for ages now, but each time in Paris my trip had been short and I never quite made it to his Sunday dinner party yet!!! One of these days, by hook or by crook, I'm going to make it
Have a wonderful time in Paris (which I'm missing loads at the moment, despite just coming back from visiting a couple of weeks ago).
