Hi, I have recently booked my flight to Australia on the 5th Feb, I plan on flying into Syndey and doing the oz intro from the 8th feb for a week. After this week I want to travel the East coast, I have 4 months to travel in oz, then onto New Zealand for a month and Thailand.
Hey Char. Im doing something similar. Im coming in late Jan, and planning on spending some time in Oz. I will be travelling for approx a month, before finding a place that I like so I can work. I have a working visa. Do you? Im hoping to do the East coast too. Im thinking of doing NZ aswell. But just not totally certain. Whilst Im there i might do a long weekend or something in Fiji. But shall book it when im out there, apparently they have cheaper flights when booked from there.

I too land in Sydney on the 26th of January - and travelling alone, so looking for ppl to go up the east coast with, and the odd trip to NZ, Fiji for long weekends.
be good to meet some like minded ppl to make me feel a little bit more confident when landing in oz to travel :-)

I was going to do Fiji but it upped my flight costs by like £400 so didn't think it would be worth it! Have either of you booked your flights yet? No I don't have a visa , I was going to but then thought I might just test that I like it ver there now, and then at least i have a chance to work over there for a year after if I wanted. Do either of you have facebook?

I have facebook. And i was speaking to a friend of mine who lived out in Oz for a year and said that its cheaper to buy flights to fiji when out there. Im guessing its like ryanair and easyjet. So might be something to look into when arriving in Oz.
