Could anyone tell me what the best hotels in Las Vegas are for 3 22 year old girls? Want somewhere with good bars etc.
Abby,
As you found out, most Vegas hotels are discounting their rooms. If you come mid-week, even Encore & Venetian are affordable. Hard to beat Caesars Palace. Pure is usually listed as one of the hottest clubs every year. I would stay where you get a great deal. You are only a short taxi ride away from any hotel no matter where you stay.
Ventitian and Encore are still a bit out of our price range. We are travelling round america for 2 months. staying in hostels in most places but as its my friends bday out there we thought we'd do a hotel in Vegas. Caesars Palace looks good. Whats Luxor like? Or The Mirage?
Abby,
Luxor & Mirage are great hotels. Mirage is older now, but still good. Honestly, I would stay where you get the best deal. Take the Imperial Palace for example. Old, bit run down now, but offering good deals because they have to. They cannot compete with the hotels right next to them in quality. Stay at at the IP and walk to Caesars, Venetian, Palazzo, Mirage, Flamingo, Wynn, Encore, Bellagio. You spend so little time in your room aside from sleeping that it makes no sense IMO to pay Venetian prices when you can sleep cheap and walk over and use all the amenities at any hotel.
Let me know if I can help you with anything Vegas.
Hi Abbey88,
I agree with Vegasmike...Imperial Palace is a good place to stay, it's affordable, and it's right in the middle of the strip. Right next to the Venicen, Belagio, and Ceasars. Don't spend all your money at a high end hotel when you can use it when you go out. If you want to stay off the strip, Rio and the Palms are great places to stay too. Both have a lot of the "younger crowd" staying there. If you're looking for clubs at night try to hit up Pure in Ceasars, XS at Encore, or the Ghostbar at the Palms. Have fun
For the younger set, generally The Palms or Hard Rock Cafe or Mandalay Bay (my personal favorite) are the "hot" hotels--but there are tons of good ones there, so it depends upon what you are looking for.
The Palms is known for its nightlife, Hard Rock Cafe for its pool and "big-name" rock stars that perform there and Mandalay Bay is known for its "wave" pool--and for its many cabanas as well as its European-style pool (which I've actually never visited).
All are good choices--and if you are looking for good places on even more of a budget, then consider Imperial Palace or Harrah's or even Venetian or Encore as mentioned above.
For "luxury" consider Caesars Palace. Bellagio and MGM Grand are also good, but Bellagio is kind of empty lately and MGM Grand is just so spread out and the pool is pretty small. Mirage is also quite good with a great pool and some interesting bars and shows--and Treasure Island next door is a "sister" establishment.
Enjoy
Thanks everyone. We ended up booking the Luxor. Mainly because it had a good deal for us and like someone said we can go into all of the other hotels anyway. Plus i love anything to do with Egypt, so the general appearance of the place drew me in lol

What kind of prices are we talking about for some of the hotels in Vegas?

It all depends on what hotel, what date. Tues-Wed-Thurs will be cheaper than Fri-Sat-Sun most weeks. in your dates and see what is offered. Sahara, Circus Circus & Imperial Palace have rooms under $30/nite mid Dec. for example.
