First and foremost, you will most definately have to have your accom. booked for that time of the year. I also have yet to visit KS after 4 visits to LOS. I have researched the place and provide the following for your info.:
Accom: Ao Thian:
- Vongduern Resort,dbl,a/c,tv-1100B
Boat: rate for round trip 140 Baht/person dep.Baan Phe pier 0930,1330,1700
or boat to Ao Vongduen then short walk south to:
- Ban Keang Talea(ph 0861581619;0870681401-fan bungalow,1000B?
- Candle Light Resort-Ph 089 9145585/081 7629387/0871496139-fan b'low 1000B?
- Sang Thian Beach Resort-Ph 038 644 255-fan b'low,1000B+
Nearby: trail to Sunset Point other side of island (15min walk)
Ao Thapthim:Samed Villas(see website)
Ao Wai:Samet Ville Resort(see website)
I believe the above accom. are located at quieter places to Ao Tubtim and Ao Phai beaches.
- Tubtim Resort at Ao Tubtim is on my list but ensure you book one of the new units.
The asterisk means that I have read many reviews with positive comments. The prices shown are ballpark for low season over the last 2 years. As you know, accomm. prices on KS skyrocket for December.
cheers,ive been reccommended the ao tubtim resort but i rang up to confirm a booking and was told that they only take bookings no more than 3 days in adavance.?? which says to me thay will be fully bookes :/
tbf au pudsa/au tubtim seems to be the beach;/resort that most mots my criteria.
any other suggestions?
