Basically I applied for Camp America and haven't heard back, which I did in September, bit annoyed with it now. I have dual-nationality, British and American. I'm going back to college in September but want to go to America for the Summer. like my mum did when she was my age!
You have a leg up being dual citizen with the USA.
From personal knowledge, the private concession firm that serves Yosemite National Park (California) has a staff of overseas young persons in resort jobs to assist during peak seasons. They help applicants with temporary work visas, but that's not really a concern for you. This firm also has contracts for other facilities including the east coast.
I'd make an approach to these folks, and best of luck:
