Ok, My daughter (16 yrs old) is coming out to visit me in Germany for a week for spring break. We want to take 4-5 days and go somewhere but there are so many choices! We cant decide! We both enjoy wandering around getting lost, not big into museums, love to people watch, theater, culture and atmosphere, and good photo ops are things that we enjoy. As well as good food!
I would suggest Berlin plus 1 or 2 days down to the Spreewald Forest. This area is best visited in mid- to late April, during October and just before or during Easter, so it is a great choice for spring break.
Berlin alone has enough to offer to keep you both busy for a whole week. The Spreewald Forest will provide an outdoor experience to balance the Big B.

If you're in Frankfurt then you have a huge list of possibilities with cheap flights. Gdansk, for example, is a really cool place in the summer and the flight is probably only an hour or so. For activities check out In Your Pocket, Gdansk Life & 1stopJamboree.
