for the queensland vehicle registration information that will tell you how to transfer it into qld plates once you get there, not really necessary for you to do it as it's the buyers responsability though you'll get a lower price with WA plates because of it.
Alternative is to sell to a car dealer but again it'll reduce the price.
Either way pick a set of WA transfer papers and get them signed as well, then send them to the address on them, just covers yourself if issues arise as its an offence not to return WA plates.
I had this problem when I moved to NSW I sold the car to a dealer, 12 months after the rego expired I recieved a summons at my WA address took a bit of mucking around demostrating I had sold the vehicle and to who turns out a mechanic at the dealership just kept the plates....
