Hi people, Ive never traveled for a long period before but have been thinking about it for a long time and hoping the right opportunity would come along, however it hasn't yet and Im not sure it will, so am thinking about taking the plunge, problem is all my friends have jobs and commitments here and are unable or unwilling to come along. Im 27 and from the UK and was wondering if anyone out there is in the same position as me and would be up for being a travel buddy! Long shot but you never know. However, my need to travel is stronger than my need to travel with someone- so I travel alone.
If you cant find anyone to travel with you why not go it alone? ...You'll meet lots of wonderful people who
will become friends.
The people you meet love to travel - just as you do, and, if nothing else, you'll have this in common with them.

I am very much in the same boat as you. im 24 and pretty bored with my routine 9-5 life at the moment in the UK and want to do something different and see somewhere new so ive thought about travelling as well, however im not sure i fancy doing it on my own and all of my friends are working or dont really want to travel so its pretty difficult to get the motivation to go anywhere. I joined this site to see if i could find someone, or some ideas as to what to do. i dont really have an idea of where to go specifically but the world has got to be far more interesting than working in an office all of your life.

thanks for response guys, Im from the Isle of Wight, There are so many places to choose from, I was hoping to get some recommendations from people on here. Anywhere different and new sounds good to me, obviously dont fancy getting shot at or frozen to death lol. A place where money can go a decent way aswell would be an advantage. Hey Jack Im heading to vietnam at the beginning of June and planning to buy a motorbike and ride from the north to the south. youre more than welcome to come along, first time travelling solo for me so im not sure exactly what to expect but Im sure it will be fun! your money will go further than youd think even possible! meals from 50p beer from about 50p maybe less accommodation from £3/4 motorbike around £150 and you can sell it at the end of teh trip!
