East Europe Sept 2010

I am a malaysian guy who have been living in UK for 1 year now and i am planning to travel to East Europe for about 2 weeks. 1 or 2 more people would make it a little bit more fun and we can divide the work of research places to visit. I do not have a particular place that i really want to go, but i am thinking, something like from germany, prague to romania. :p i personally think that not many malaysian students have travelled to the east part, so why not be different.

I suggest you to visit Croatia. I was there last summer in Zadar city ( 3000 years old town, 15 churchs in town centre older than 500 years) and island Pag - Novalja and National park Kornati. Excellent food. On beach Zrce on Pag you can meet people from all over the world, party 24 hours a day. I payed great apartment 25 euro per night and ryanair two way flight Bruxelles - Zadar 55 euros. I think you have flights from London, Dublin, Edinburgh very cheap.

That is a real great suggestion! Thanks a bunch! I might want to extend my trip to 3 weeks, and travel to a few countries. Was wondering whether it would be worthwhile getting a eurail pass.

I can't tell you about eurail pass. I ussualy combine few low cost flights - you can pick several cities from ryanair list ( there is more than 100 destinations) and just jump from one to other. This are not so crowd airports and there is no any waiting. I suggest you tour London - Zadar (Croatia) - Pisa (Italy) - Malaga (Spain) - Krakow (Poland) - London. Total prices for all flights can be less than 140 euro and you have more time to enjoy destination.
