All I have done so far is book my flight tickets from 11th-June to amsterdam and Back on 27th-June from viienna.

my best friend travelled during new years, so he is my source of knowledge, so if one of the austrian foreign exchange students now living back in vienna.

I really haven't finalized anything yet. If you have any tips to share or if you have any questions I can answer feel free to shout back and best of luck with your travel. You never know we might actually bump into each other there.

Hey Pepper, My name is Rob, Im a 21 year old male.

I am from the UK and looking to backpack in europe again this year. I did about 5 weeks of it last summer in Belgium, France and Nederlands. This year I will go again but starting from Norway. I will be in Norway during the whole of May because I am staying with friends there for a month. Instead of flying home, I want to backpack through europe and eventually back to the UK. This would mean that I will travel through Sweden, Denmark, France, Nederlands etc etc. I dont really know if you will be in the same area as me but if you want to travel together then I think it would be fun.
I did alot of hitchhiking last year and lived on a budget of about £600 for the time I travelled. This time I will leave Norway with about £200-£300 and maybe work at fruit farms etc to fund my travel. Let me know what you think and you can email me whenever you want.

Thanks alot.

Rob

Hey Rob,

Let me know what all you found interesting in Belgium.

Didn't they check all your reservations when you applied for schengen visa. I also wanted to do backpacking, but they wanted to see my day to day travel reservations before issuing me a visa.

Rahul

Hey,

Well I went to Belgium because during World War 2, alot of famous battles took part with both the American and British Paratroopers so I went to visit these remote sites. Also because it is such a small country, it was easy for me to hitchhike around and take public transport. Bruge is a very nice city because of its famous medieval buldings and features. Also Brussels is OK because of the UN buldings and stuff but overall, it wasnt a really interesting country. I also decided to visit France and Nederlands because they were just next door to Belgium.
I had no problems with visas and stuff probably because I am European anyway as for you are from the US so they like to know why you are here and what you will be doing. There are plenty of hostels to stay in Belgium so if you want to backpack, then Belgium is a good place to experience it. I can assure you that you will meet many people like yourself over there.
Good luck.

this is my trip plan ... :D
