I have just returned from 2 months in Indonesia....about a month ago I was contemplating doing the Mt Rinjani trek.....but after hearing a few different tales from other people who had done the trek I decieded not to.....the rain was already starting then....tents in poor repair....cold......very bad slippery hard going paths......
If you have your own good waterproof gear then I guess you will be ok... and I am sure the challenge will be worth it!!(..the treks were still going a month ago but not too sure if they still are.....)
I must admitt the idea of more scuba diving did distract me from taking this challenge....!
