Thailand

Hey everyone,
Me and a few friends are going to Thailand for a month in january. Do you think that $2,500 AUS is enough to have a good time on, accomodation has already been sorted for the month.. help would be much appriciated :D

Hi lonelyroad
Thailand is really cheap place I don't think you will have problem if you stay with that amount of money
foods are from 30 bath ( this for normal thai people ) to 100 bath for normal dish depend on what kind of resterant you go .
also if you like to travel around thailand by plane ,Airasia alway have a promotion and the price is really cheap or if you wanna save money you can travel by bus or train .

ofcause it could be much more expensive if you choose to live in luxury style .
this is really depend on your travel style though

$2,500 AUS is about 72,000 THB (Woohh that lot of money for 1 month .. lol)

P.S. I'm Thai ... live in BKK

Kai

agree yo, 72,000 baht is waaaaaay enough to spend in bkk for a month!

Just came back traveling from bkk, great place with awesome food!

With 72,000 baht per person budget, you can splurge in Thailand and have a grand time!

But if this is the group's budget, I'd have to say you better stick to Thai way of living, as what solembeem mentioned above, which I think tourists should do to enjoy the real Thailand adventure!

wow that is cool

Thailand is an amazing and cheap vacation destination. Koh Samui island is one of my favorite spots in Thailand with stunning beaches and wildlife. Its natural beauty is really admirable. It also offers all kinds of shopping and dining opportunities for travelers.

"accommodation has been sorted"

Does that mean $2500 not including lodging? Huh.

thanks every one for your help!

accomodation has been paid for, i am taking 2500 for spending money

Then it's too much. You might want to give some away. Maybe to a new fund helping PhD students in northeastern Cambodia. Paypal accepted.
