Studies in Bangkok or Hong Kong?

Hi,
I am interested in taking Master of Arts degree in Cultural Management next year, in either Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok or in the Chinese University of Hong Kong My family will be going with me, husband and two little daughters (not in school yet). Does someone have any idea which program (school) and city would be better? The schools are both supposed to be good, but I am confused what would be best for my family, weather, pollution, housing etc. Can anyone give me tips or thoughts about this subject? Thanks

If your budget is a concern you might consider Thailand. Hong Kong, to me, is more business related and Thailand is more tourist friendly. (Hong Kong citizens frequently visit Thailand for their "cheap" vacations.)

How long will you be at these schools? Lots of expats and foreign workers do raise their own children in Thailand. Both places will probably be fine but I think you will be less constrained in Thailand and also be able to visit nearby countries too.

Thai Visa Forum has a lot of info on expats and even families living in Thailand.

Good luck.

Hey! I studied abroad at Chulalongkorn University and also visited CUHK because I had friends there. In terms of expenses, Thailand is much much cheaper. Weather will vary, esp. in Thailand because it goes through a monsoon season which is really annoying. I loved my time in Bangkok at Chulalongkorn, its the most prestigious university. Its still not as intense as some western schools, I've heard from friends that classes at CUHK were pretty challenging. Hope this helps.
