Belize/honduras/guatemala or colombia(or other places?)

I'm wondering where to go this winter/spring. I'll have between two and three weeks available, depending on whether or not i can get an extra week of vacation. I live in norway, so i wanna get far away from snow and winter. I might do a little bit of sightseeing or trekking, but it's not really what i'm looking for. I'm looking for the normal backpacker stuff. Weather/beaches/nightlife/"sense of place". By nightlife i don't necessarily mean dancing on the tables, but a place where you can have a few drinks and go out dancing, or just relax with a couple of beers and meet people. Generally just beeing able to have a good time after dark.

If you want to visit Honduras from Belize by land you HAVE TO visit Guatemala. There's no way around it. Belize certainly has a night life. Placencia and San Pedro and Caye Caulker. Places like San Ignacio don't have this that I remember. Belize and Honduras are great for diving. Guatemala has great ruins and Honduras does as well.

That being said, and though I love CA. I suggest, for two weeks, you go to Colombia. Try to land in Medellin and spend some time there, a few days. Then go up to Cartagena for a few days to see the UNESCO World Heritage Los Muralles. Go out for a day or two to Islas Rosario from Carta. Then go to Santa Marta and Taganga and spend the rest of your time there, diving or swimming, and hiking through the hills, and going to Tayrona Park for a good time. Fly out of Carta. All those towns have dancing, the costs are low, and the country is gorgeous. Lots of activities.
