USA Post Grad headed to UK

So while in college I studied abroad and traveled to many places but the U.K. has always been my favorite. I will be graduating from my university soon and have decided I really want to live/work in another part of the world, specifically somewhere in the United Kingdom. I'm probably going to backpack there for a bit after I graduate just to check the cities out and then hopefully get a job for a multinational company in the US and hope they have a location in the U.K that I can transfer to. I particularly loved London but was only there for a weekend and did not get a chance to explore the rest of England like I wanted to. I really need some help with any suggestions of great cities to travel to this summer so I can get a good idea of them! If you have visited there or lived there, that would help me so much! I'm looking for somewhere that is safe, kinda warm weather (although I know it gets chilly there), somewhat quaint with parks and a decent amount of greenery, but close enough to larger cities in case I could get a job there. Also somewhere that has places to shop, a good nightlife and younger people since I am young myself, but also a thriving business sector (or if it is close enough to a large city that I could easily commute to). I really appreciate all of your comments!

Multinationals from the US would probably have UK offices in either London or Edinburgh, so that might limit your transfer options. The other urban centres in the UK tend to have a lot more regional employers and often rely pretty heavily on public sector for employment.

For places with young people, check out cities with big university populations.

You might want to check out places like Cardiff or York, both of which are pretty cities, have nature nearby, are well connected to transport networks, and have a youthful population.

Check out Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It might not be very useful for work but it has everything else you're looking for. Very pretty part of the world near to the Cotswolds. There's an easy train commute to Birmingham and Gloucester is very close.
