The price for rooms etc might be going higher because it's the holiday season.
Please expect that and to meet more domestic tourists as well.
Bali has so many backpackers choices, you can just go show in Kuta or Legian area.
For diving, you might wanna do that in the northern part.
Or just hit Lombok island for more snorkeling and diving activities.
