I am in New Zealand which is currently GMT +13 hours.
Quite right you are!
The date in the table of contents was not taking into account the offset. I've just fixed that up. Let me know if that all looks right now.
Hi,
Thank you for fixing this. Looks much better.
However, may I assume the dates in the manage blogs and photo uploads have the same issue? I note that the edit time on this thread is East Coast USA time which is 21 hours behind New Zealand time.
I am a new member and really like this place. I will probably have lots more questions as I get more involved in it, especially with the table of contents page.
Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Glynn

The offset option when writing blog entries only applies to the display of that blog entry. So the management area will still be in the original entry date time.
For the rest, the times we use are generally east coast USA, for no other reason than that's where our server is located. Quite arbitrary I know. It's been like that for a long time now, but I'm hoping to finally fix that sometime this year. At least to be GMT instead of some other random time. But I think we might as well allow users to choose their time zone properly at the same time.
Glad you're enjoying the site. And we're more than happy to answer any questions. We love getting the feedback, even if it's not good. At least then we know what things are bothering people. The majority just stay quiet (think it's their fault maybe) or just leave.
Cheers, Peter
Hi,
Thanks for the reply and explanation. However I got my east and west all mixed up. It is the West Coast of the USA (California etc) that is 21 hours behind NZ time. Not a good look for an experienced traveller like myself who is heading of shortly to the Middle West East.
Cheers,
Glynn

Oops yeah - west coast. That's where our servers are. I just followed you lead on that one without thinking. Get them confused myself as well
