Visa for America

I am really keen to go to America to work and travel. I know it is much harder to work in America and I have googled a number of times becoming none the wiser! Is it possible to get any type of working visa for non skilled jobs so just shop work / waitress etc?

I've noticed you're from the UK, so this is based on that.

America is difficult unless you're a full-time uni student. instead? As that could be possible for you.

Give the embassy a call (watch out - premium rate!) and they may be able to advise you on the best course of action.

Hiya
Im travelling to the states in 5 weeks for a year and have just been granted my b2 tourist visa as you cnt get a working visa unless your skilled and already have a placement with the employer. Basically as far as im aware i could if i wanted to go out there find a job then make a variation to my visa if i find a job, BUT the employer would have to sponsor me to stay and be employed as a b2 visa does not allow employment
And yes the embassy is premium rate but worth ringing to answer questions as then they can tell you striaght
Oh and if you do go to the embassy for an appointment please be aware that you along with 50 or so other people get the same time
I ended up waiting for 4 hours with about 300 hundred other people and i was on time, so take some reading material to stave of the boredom!
Hope this helps
Leanne
