I am going to Costa Rica with a friend at the end of March for two weeks. We want to hit the top few places to minimize travel time. We just decided to buy tickets yesterday which means we only have two months to save up. I've heard about taking buses from place to place and staying at hostels. I want to see if anyone knows of any cheap activities to do or budget eco-tourism???
If you take a decision of bus for traveling then it will be a cheap for budget.

i think you should go by bus it will cost you cheap and the hostels in the way also charge you less so it will be a good tour in less budget.
If you want to do the best Eco tour go down to the Corcovado National Park on the OSA peninsula in the south. Best place in CR, everyone said it. we went in our first few days before back up north and everywhere else and no where else cam close to being as good.
You'd need to get to Puerto Jiminez there is an air strip there not sure on prices though, they arent expensive and are the worlds only carbon neautral airline that take you tehre from San Jose (Nature Air, check their website).
