India in august 2011

shivani has indicated that this thread is about India

Hi Shivani,

You can go to hampi, Gokarna beach, Mysore, Goa from Bangalore. You can also visit Bangalore Zoo in Bangalore, and visit nice pubs/discotheques in Bangalore.

I live in Bangalore, maybe we can meetup.

Cheers!
Ajay.

Hello,

I have a consulting assignment in Bangalore from August 21-26, and am looking to add on a four days (27-31) to the end of it.

I know August is monsoon season, and I also know that Bangalore is not the most exciting, so I'm looking for some suggestions on where to spend the extra time.

We will be a group of 3-4 people, and are happy to take a train or flight to get elsewhere. So any suggestions for this short trip, especially considering the weather?

Thanks!

when its the monsoon, i would suggest u guys to enjoy the monsoon to the fullest...i would say alleppey..in a house boat in the middle of the backwater with some local fish nd lobsters and local food stuffs...1 hr flight from bangalore is cochin and 1 hr drive is alleppey

google nd find out more

Hi,

August middle is OK for travelling in South India . Rain in Bangalore happens only after late afternoon and it is not bad really.

For 4 days out of Bangalore I will suggest Kerala . Particularly Alleppy and Kovalam beach in Trivandrum.

Alleppy is also called Allupazha or something like that . Please check in Trip advisor . You can take overnight bus from Bangalore or morning flight to Cochin. Staying in houseboat for a night will be good option. Kovalam has the famous beach .

Kerala has lots to offer in terms of tourism. Backwaters , ayurvedic massage , sea food, cultural events etc etc. Please see relevant websites to find more.

Happy journey.

Ranjan Kar
