Hi, am shell (24) from east scotland. im heading to oz in start of march. Im not sure where am traveling from yet, am gong solo to lol. Im pretty far from most places. Its a thought going solo. Give me a shout on here if u want to chat , am afraid not i ireland tho

Hi girls, im looking for a travel buddy to, am bricking it . Im in scotland which is a fair distance of you irish girls, although i have facebook . Im thinking of the same places as emmamarie, although not thought of volunteering. i plan to fruit pick for 3 months so i can apply for second year visa. I m thinking to leave uk prob heathrow in first week of march 2012. Excitment, going regardless of the little savings i have.

I thought volunteering work would be a great way to get to know more people. I haven't done much research into it though, its just something i might consider doing. I haven't booked anything yet just have an idea of when i want to go so if you want to chat more about being travel buddies, add me as a friend.

Thanks for d replies...Will add ye all and hopefully we will keep in contact and plan a road trip...im not on facebook so hopefully we can keep in contact thru this..Im not sure wat route im taking yet either but would like to settle sum wer for awhile get good paid job - buy a car and travel at d weekends or watever days i have off...den move on after 6 months and do d same again..wat do ye all think of dat idea????Would like to see nz to Emma befor headin home..wenev dat wud be

Hi Girls, I'm another Irish girl heading to Thailand and Oz in March/ April, I am also looking into going volunteering, I have been in with USIT last week, there was one in Northern Thailand working in an orphanage, the programme has recently changed, it used to be minimum of one month but now it's a maximum of two weeks at a time, the volunteer man said he's not sure of the prices yet because of the changes! What organisations have you looked into? Was also looking into volunteering at the elephant sanctuary in Thailand, my friend has been there and said it was amazing... I'm hoping to do both, I think after doing the two volunteering programmed I won't have to do any more good deeds for the rest if the year Ha!!! The plan is to travel for a few weeks around Thailand before going to Australia! It would be great to meet up with some others before heading over, think it would make it a little less nerve wreaking!!!

I looked into the elephant scantuary one. It looks brill. I haven't made up my mind to do it or not yet! If I was to do it I'd be going before march. Would defo be up for meeting up at some stage. Will add u as a friend so we can keep in touch and maybe make some plans
