In one busy week I travelled all around Ireland, then across the middle one way and back by a different route. Kilkenny is a few hour stop to see the restored house/castle there.
If I wanted to see Scotland, Glasgow would be way down my list as it's mainly a town where people live. I would spend some more days in Scotland travelling around. It is possible to see much of it in a week.
In both places what kind of holiday you have is all down to the weather as you will be in open areas a lot.
Thanks for the advice! Maybe we won't stay in Glasgow for too long and try to see some of the Scottish countryside instead.
I would really love some suggestions as what to see in Eastern Europe. I don't know anyone who's ever been to any of the countries in our itinerary aside from Poland and the Czech Republic, so I have no idea what to expect.
