Where are you from? If you're from a country eligible for , the easiest option would probably be to get one of those, and use it to stay in Australia for a year (with option on a second year if you do three months of specified work (fruit picking e.a.)) - that should hopefully be long enough to know for certain that staying in Australia fulltime is what you want, and then you could either get a marriage visa and get married, or if that's still too soon, you might have found work with a company willing to sponsor you for a work visa that'll allow you to stay beyond that period.
