Hi I am travelling to port Douglas mid sept (alone), was wondering if any body will be there or been there and any tips on what to do or see.

Are you staying in port Douglas? I'll be there for 8 weeks staying at dougies backpackers, they supply free bus from cairns to hostel.

Dive or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef - lots of boats depart daily from Port Douglas
Visit the world heritage Daintree rainforest - plenty of tours depart daily from Port Douglas
Go crocodile spotting on the mighty Daintree River
Visit Cape Tribulation
Relax, walk, jog, ride a bike or kite surf on Four Mile Beach
Fishing on the reef - once again, plenty of boats to choose from
Dine in one of the many world-class restaurants in town
Visit beautiful Low Isles, just off Port Douglas
Play golf at one of the three courses in the area
Visit Mossman Gorge
Visit Hartley's Creek Crocodile Adventures
Go shopping in town
Visit the Sunday Markets
Get married at St Mary's By The Sea
