That's a long way to go from the UK just for 10 days. How serious are you, or is this just thinking out loud? I didn't look but I'm pretty sure the wet season is more like India and is May though to Oct. Although I was there last year in December and they were complaining because the rain still hadn't stopped. Unfortunately it's weather and doesn't operate on schedule the way we'd like. Would be easy to Google it and check yourself.
I'll be there but not till January.
