My name is Coleen, i just got married in the US to my British husband, until he is approved for the green card to live here he has traveled here about ever month. I have a criminal record (some what bad) and I was wondering if I would have a problem getting a visa to visit him, and would i have a problem getting a passport?

If you're applying for a Visa, then yes, you're in trouble. A US citizen residing in the US does not require a Visa to visit the UK as a tourist though.
No, your past criminal record has nothing to do with you being issued a US Passport.
