I am arriving into BKK on 10th Jan 2013 to travel all of SE Asia (Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia..) then down to the islands till April.
I'm then going onto New Zealand for a couple of weeks then Fiji till end of May.
I hit Australia (Melbourne) in the last week of May.

For your SE Asia trip, I suggest you to start your tour in Cambodia - Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, take a boat to fly to HCMC, fly to the center DANANG/HUE/HOI AN, take a night train to HANOI-halong bay,sapa.fly to laos.

My plans are very similar to yours.
Im arriving in Chiang Mai - north Thailand on 5 Jan then going laos, Vietnam, Cambodia then back to do the south Islands in Thailand.
Im going to Australia on 1st May

Please, if you go to Cambodia, do go more places than just Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Cambodians are cool folks. Give yourself a chance to get to know them.
